Body of young woman discovered in county Kilkenny

The body of a young woman was discovered by people out walking in county Kilkenny on Saturday.

The 21-year-old female’s body was discovered by people out walking in the Kilculliheen area of Ferrybank at 4pm on Saturday afternoon.

The walkers contacted the gardai who rushed to the scene. The young lady’s body was taken to University Hospital Waterford. A post-mortem examination is due to take place today.

Gardai have also notified the coroner of the death.

Foul play is not suspected. Gardai said the outcome of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigations.
