Gang make off with huge haul of TVs and smartphones in raid on well-known Kilkenny store
A gang made off with a haul of high-end TVs, smartphones and smartwatches in a daring raid on a Kilkenny business overnight.
Gardai are hunting the gang who broke into the DID Electrical outlet at Smithlands on Kilkenny’s Ring Road in the early hours of this morning. The gang made off with thousands of euros worth of high-end tech equipment in what appears to be a well-planned heist.
The gang gained access into the building by cutting the locks off the back door. Once inside the gang stole an unknown amount of high-end TVs, smartwatches and smartphones.
Gardai are appealing for any around the Smithlands area at approximately 1.30am and may have spotted anything suspicious, or any motorist who were driving in the area at that time and have dashcam footage, to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
