Rail chaos: Kilkenny commuters hit with delays of up to 90 minutes

Rail passengers to and from Killkenny are facing huge delays this afternoon.

Passangers travelling to Kilkenny from Heuston Station, Dublin, had to get off the 10.15am service in Bagnelstown, county Carlow and were instructed to wait for another train.

Irish Rail have confirmed there will be knock-on delays of about 90 minutes for all services this afternoon.

The national rail provider have not confirmed what the issue is but apologised to passengers for the inconvenience.
