Ten-day celebration of the arts starts in Kilkenny town

THE KILKENNY Arts Festival is not the only display of creativity, imagination and artistry happening in the county this week.

Tomorrow, the Thomastown Creative Arts Festival / TCAF19 begins a ten-day celebration of the work of the talented and gifted artist from in and around the Thomastown area.

This year’s theme is very apt for the year we have had politically, with the emergence of the green wave. Community groups and individual artists will be creating installations featuring the ‘Art of Upcycling.’

Work by up to 30 artists’ features throughout the ten days of the festival, which is supported by the Kilkenny County Council Arts Office and Kilkenny County Council Waste Prevention Programme.
