Car thieves targeting mourners at graveyards across Kilkenny

HEARTLESS thieves are targeting mourners’ cars as they attend funerals.

Kilkenny gardai have urged anyone attending cemetery masses over the coming weeks to ensure their vehicles are securely locked, and that valuables are not visible from the outside.

The warning comes in the wake of a spate of thefts and break-ins of vehicles that were parked beside or near graveyards across the county and in neighbouring Carlow in recent weeks.

Kilkenny gardai are investigating the thefts. They have urged anyone with information regarding any such break-ins to contact their local Garda station.
