Cash stolen from car in Kilkenny as owner was walking

KILKENNY gardai are urging the public not to leave personal belongings unattended in cars after another car was broken into and cash taken.

Gardai in the city are hunting a thief who broke into a parked car and made off with cash while the owner had gone for a walk.

The theft occurred at Canal Walk, Kilkenny between 9.20 pm and 10.10 pm last Friday.

The owner of the car had gone for a short walk. When they returned they noticed the car was broken into, and a sum of cash taken.

Anyone with information or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time is urged to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
