Gardai probe county Kilkenny break-in where nothing was stolen

GARDAI are investigating an unusual burglary when a house was broken into, but nothing was taken.

The burglary occurred at a private home in the Portnahully, Carrigeen, near Mooncoin sometime between Sunday last and Tuesday.

The owner of the property was away at the time. They returned to the house at around 6pm Tuesday to discover the back door was forced open by the intruder who gained entry to their home.

However nothing appears to have been taken, gardai confirmed.
