Three Kilkenny retailers nominated for prestigious national award

THE importance independent retailers make to Kilkenny’s economy has been recognised as three local businesses were nominated for national awards.

The three local stores nominated for the 2019 Independent Retail Awards are Silverspring Fruit & Veg, nominated for Fresh Produce Provider, The Wine Centre, nominated for Off Licence Of the Year, and Butterslip, nominated in the Giftshop Of the Year category.

Marisa Whitehall, Assistant Campaign Manager of The Independent Retail Awards, said: “These awards are really important for the industry as not many independent retailers get the recognition they deserve for the hard work and their out of the box thinking.

“The finalists have a real understanding of the market they operate within and are fully aware of their customers’ needs. The great standard of their services along with the friendly staff have made them stand amongst the others.”
