WARNING: Gardai hunt crime gang after spate of break-ins across Kilkenny

By COLIN BARTLEY

GARDAI are asking people to be extra vigilant following a spate of break-ins around the county over the last few days

Two houses neighbouring each other were targeted by the burglars in Glenmore yesterday. Nothing was taken during the break-ins but the houses were left trashed.

Both break-ins occurred in Glenmore, south Kilkenny sometime between 8am and 3pm.

The first house the burglars entered through the back door, ransacked the house, but left with nothing.

At the second house very nearby the first, the burglars gained entry through the kitchen window. Again, nothing was taken but the house was turned over.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gardaí at Glenmore on 051 880 122.

Earlier this week a house under construction in Thomastown was targeted by thieves who made off with a stash of bathroom fittings.

Power tools and gardening equipment was taken from a house in Lavinstown in the city earlier in the week.
