Thieves break-into county Kilkenny home while owner was away for few days

A homeowner in an isolated part of county Kilkenny was horrified to find their house had been broken into while they were away for a few days.

The burglary happened at a house in the townsland of Croan near Danesfort between 6.30am last Thursday and 10pm on Monday.

The thieves gained entry to the house by forcing open a window at the side of the house. They then went through the house before making off with a stash of goods.

Kilkenny gardai are investigating the break-in. They have urged potential eyewitnesses or anyone who may have notices any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 775 4150.
