Man (24) due in court over €48,000 drugs haul in county Kilkenny

A 24-year-old man is to appear in court this morning in relation to a €45,000 drugs seizure in county Kilkenny,

The male was arrested yesterday afternoon in North Kilkenny in connection with a drugs seizure on Saturday, February 25 in Freshford.

During a planned raid of the Freshford house, gardai discovered more than €5,000 worth of cocaine and more than €40,000 worth of cannabis.

The operation was carried out by members of the Divisional Drugs Unit and members of Kilkenny gardai.

The man was charged at Kilkenny Garda Station overnight and is due in Carlow District Court this morning.
