Dedicated Kilkenny Covid-19 helpline goes live
Kilkenny County Council has launched a dedicated Covid-19 helpline, which provides a vital one-stop support number for anyone in need of assistance during the emergency.
The free and confidential phone service – which can be accessed on 1800 500 000 – combines the great work being done by all the local organisations into one dedicated facility.
The local authority created the crucial community support helpline to assist people ‘at risk’ in the community in accessing non-emergency and non-medical supports and to offer advice during the current public health emergency.
The service being provided on the helpline will link queries to the relevant contacts already providing assistance in the community who can then swiftly respond to the specific needs of the caller.
As well as the 1800 500 000 number, Kilkenny residents can also contact the helpline on 056 779 4145.
The helpline will be open from 8am to 8pm every day, including Saturday and Sunday.
