Local gardai bust drug driver high on cocaine and opiates
Members of the Kilkenny-Carlow Garda Division arrested a motorist after they tested positive for cocaine, opiates and benzodiazepines.
The driver was arrested after he was stopped on a local road this week and to be making a ‘non-essential’ journey.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Subsequent oral fluid test proved positive for cocaine, opiates and benzodiazepines. Driver arrested and the results of blood sample are awaited.”
Gardai have again urged motorists to “never drive while under influence of an intoxicant”.
