Phased reopening of country to be accelerated with all restrictions lifted by July 20

The Cabinet has agreed to introduce all of Phase Two and to accelerate the remaining phases, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced.

There will now only be fours phases in the roadmap for reopening the country with Phase Three being implemented on June 29 and Phase Four from July 20.

All travel restrictions within the country will be lifted from June 29 but from Monday you can travel anywhere in your own  county or 20kms from your home.

Bans on mass gatherings and physical distancing are to remain until the autumn.

From Monday groups of up to six can meet indoors or outdoors once they keep two metres apart.

Groups of up to 15 people can meet for outdoor sporting activities while up to 25 people can attend

All shops can open from Monday but with staggered hours from 10.30am while shopping malls can open on June 15.
