REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Dowling (nee Lewis) (The Fairways, Kilkenny and formerly of Stoneyford and Margate, Kent) 29th June 2020, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home, Rita, beloved wife of the late Pat and much loved mother of Robert, Carron and Mark, sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Marian and Norma, brother Keith, son-in-law Aidan, daughters-in-law Lynn and Yvonne, grandchildren Seán, Maria, Gavin, Janet, Alex, Isabelle and Evan, her lifelong friend Diana, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Rita Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home on Wednesday (1st July) from 5 pm to 7 pm with strict adherence to social distancing. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 10.30 o’clock in St. John’s Church, Kilkenny. Interment therafter in Muckalee Cemetery.

In accordance with most recent HSE guidelines, attendance at Church can be no more than 50 people.

Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Wexford / Woodford, Galway

Seamus Desmond (Des) Canning (Kilkenny, Wexford and Woodford, Co. Galway) June 29th 2020 (peacefully) surrounded by his devoted family after an illness bravely borne. Beloved husband of Vera (nee Walsh), adored father of Harry, Liam, Maeve, Sheila and Jim, loving brother of Ray, Mike and Mary, cherished grandfather of Jack, James, Isabelle, Cathal, Sean, Aisling, Cormac, Clodagh, Sarah, Billy, James and Ruadh. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sister, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, relatives and friends.

May Des Rest in Peace

Requiem Mass on Wednesday (July 1st) at 11a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery. Current government guidelines regarding public gatherings will apply.

Marjorie McGRATH (née Delaney)
Meadow Way, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Clonmel, Tipperary

McGrath (nee Delaney) (Meadow Way, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny and formerly of The Watergate, Kilkenny and Ard Gaoithe, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary) 29th June 2020, peacefully, in the loving care of her son Ciarán and the staff at Castlecomer District Hospital, Marjorie, beloved wife of the late John McGrath (Ard Gaoithe and Lisronagh, Clonmel) and much loved mother of Ciarán, sadly missed by her loving son, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday (30th June) at 2pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Foulkstown, Kilkenny with interment thereafter in the adjoining cemetery . (Current government guidelines regarding public gatherings will apply). House private please.
