No further deaths as number on hospital waiting lists hits record 819,000
There were no further deaths from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.
The total death toll here is now 1,774 while the number of confirmed cases has now reached 26,995 after another 67 were diagnosed.
Meanwhile, the number of people on hospital waiting lists has hit a record 819,000 due to the impact of Covid-19, according the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
At the beginning of the pandemic, there was just over 700,000 on waiting lists.
