Brazen jewellery thief breaks into county Kilkenny house through front door

A burglar broke into a house in county Kilkenny before making off with several pieces of jewellery and cash.

The break-in occurred at a property in the Ballybur area of Cuffesgrange at around 5.30pm in Friday.

A local Garda spokesperson said: “The suspect entered the house through the front door and took various pieces of jewellery, a chequebook and cash around 5.30pm.”

Gardaí have urged witnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
