Kilkenny farm on market for almost €2m

A Kilkenny farm is expected to fetch up to €2 million when it goes on sale at an auction in the city next month.

The 237 acre non-residential holding at Clomantagh, 6.5km from Freshford and 7km from Johnstown, will be sold at auction at the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny at 3pm on Thursday, November 5.

The farm has a pre-guide auction price of €1.975 million.

The holding has 125ac in grazing, 35ac in tillage and 77ac in forestry. The tillage and grass ground are guided at €10,000 per acre while the forestry is expected to make €5,000 per acre.

The sale is being jointly handed by Pat Gannon and David Shee of Shee and Hawe.
