State of some Kilkenny highways gives Tipp politician a dose of road rage
THE state of some Kilkenny roads appears to be driving one Tipperary politician around the bend.
Thurles-based Councillor John Hogan went on his local radio station Tipp FM to hit out at the quality of the roads close to the border of his electoral area.
He drew particular attention to the state of one particular highway, the road leading to the Lisheen mine just along the border.
Cllr Hogan claimed the roads in the area that fell under the jurisdiction of Kilkenny County Council are “unsafe” due to many hollows and deep drains.
