Store wars: Kilkenny gardai helps shops to combat criminal attacks
Gardai have joined forces with local businesses to help protect them from criminal attack.
Killkenny Superintendent Derek Hughes joined Crime Prevention officer Peter McConnon and Sergeant Conor Nolan of Kilkenny Community Policing Unit at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre to launch the Kilkenny Retail Security Checklist Challenge this week.
MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre manager and Chairperson of Kilkenny Chamber Marian Acreman also attended the launch, along with the centre’s Security Manager Eddie O’Brien.
A local Garda spokesperson said: “We are asking all business owners and managers to complete the Retail Security checklist challenge which will give an indication of how secure your business is against criminal attack.”The form is available through the Kilkenny-Carlow Crime Prevention Office, or you can download it here: https://lnkd.in/dFNzTyk
