Plans for new apartment block in county Kilkenny town
Plans for a new block of apartments in a county Kilkenny town have been lodged with Kilkenny County Council.
In its submission to the local authority, Kilkenny Voluntary Housing Association Company Limited has sought permission to demolish an existing building in Ladyswell Street in Thomastown.
In its place, the association plans to construct a new building to house four one-bed apartments and a further two two-bedroom units.
They have also sought permission for an ancillary building at the rear of the site comprising of a bin storage room, a CCTV hub and bicycle storage room.
The provision of four on street car parking space and “all associated ancillary site development works” are also included in the place.
The association also said “A Natura Impact Statement” will be submitted to the planning authority as part of its application.
