Plans for new housing estate in county Kilkenny

A developer has unveiled plans for a housing estate consisting of 75 new homes in county Kilkenny.

Minson Property Ltd is seeking permission to build 63 three-bed houses and 12 four-bed homes on a 3.61 hectares site at Millbanks Road, on the Kilkenny side of New Ross.

The plans also include the construction of a crèche, as well as “new pedestrian and vehicular access to Millbanks Road”.

According to the planning application, the development would also include “communal open space, private open space, site landscaping and boundary treatments, public lighting, resident and visitor car parking, bicycle parking, pedestrian and vehicular links throughout the development, and all other associated site development works”.

The developer also submitted a Natura Impact Statement as part of its application.

Kilkenny County Council is due to decide on the application by the middle of next month.
