ALERT: Thieves posing as ‘power-washers’ clean out home in Kilkenny city

KILKENNY gardai have urged homeowners to beware of two thieves posing as ‘power-washers’ who literally cleaned out one home in the city.

Two males, driving a white van, have been going around to houses in the city offering to clean the properties with power-washers.

In one incident, the pair stole a sum of cash and several items from a house in the Glenbawn area of the city on the Castlecomer Road.

The theft occurred at lunchtime yesterday, and gardai are urging local householders to be vigilant in case they are approached by individuals offering similar services.
