Animal welfare group to stage street fundraising drive across Kilkenny

Kilkenny’s oldest animal welfare organisation is staging a street fundraiser across the county on Saturday, October 2, and is appealing for the public for donations.

Kilkenny SPCA, which was originally founded in 1882 by the Marchioness of Ormonde, will be doing street donations in Kilkenny city and the Market Cross Shopping Centre, the post office, the AIB on The Parade and at MacDonagh Junction.

Street collections will also take place in Castlecomer, Thomastown and Callan on the same day.
