Anti-graffiti grant could help to paint your community in a better light

DO you have a problem with littering or graffiti in your neighbourhood or community? If so, your community may be eligible for grant funding from the local authority.

Kilkenny County Council has confirmed it is now inviting applications for the Anti-Litter and Anti-Graffiti Awareness Grant 2019. The closing date is Friday, May 3.

The council said “multiple project applications” from a group are accepted.

However, projects relating to anti-graffiti measures must be accompanied with photographs to illustrate the extent of the problem.

The grant also does not cover “structural items” such as street furniture, signs or CCTV cameras.

Projects relating to painting derelict buildings are also not eligible.
