Award-winning Kilkenny restaurant unveils new dining expansion plans
One of Kilkenny’s most popular restaurants is continuing to look to the future post-Covid-19.
The award-winning Ristorante Rinuccini on the Parade is seeking planning permission for another extension of its premises, just months after getting the go-ahead to create more dining space.
In its latest application to the local authority, the owners said: “The development will consist of a change of use of existing first floor commercial premises (former kitchen showroom) to restaurant use (approximately 77 sq mts), construction of a link building at first floor level to connect into existing restaurant premises and all associated site works.”
In June Rinuccini’s received permission to transform a former workshop into a new dining area, creating an extra 71sq mts in the centre of the restaurant – almost doubling the size of the original dining space.
The previous permission allowed changes to a former workshop which was a protected structure. However, subject to that permission minimal material changes will be made to the existing structure at No 8, The Parade.
