Best bars none! Kilkenny pubs named finest in Ireland

Kilkenny is now the proud home to Ireland’s Pub of the Year and Ireland’s best Tourist Pub.

In a great night for the Kilkenny hospitality sector Paris Texas was named as Ireland’s Pub of the Year 2019. Paris Texas on Kilkenny’s on Kilkenny’s High Street also picked up the award for best Innovative Pub of the Year 2019.

Malzards in Stoneyford, the famous old-time bar that is a haven for coach tours,  picked up Ireland’s Best Tourist Pub 2019 award.

This meant Kilkenny bars scooped three of the nine awards available on the night.

Owner of Paris Texas, Pat Crotty was on hand to pick up the awards at the Gala Awards night held in Dublin’s RDS last night, while Fred Malzard picked up the award for his popular bar in Stoneyford.
