Big hearted Kilkenny Garda hopes to make dreams come true for sick kids
This Kilkenny Garda is hoping to make dreams come through for seriously ill children.
Stephen Murphy, who is from Muckalee and is currently stationed just over the border in Durrow, is pictured with a signed action-shot of record breaking jocket Rachael Blackmore winning this year’s Grand National on Minella Times.
The fantastic signed photo will be auctioned off in aid of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, a not-for-profit charity operated by Garda volunteers to make dreams come through for children undergoing long-term medical treatment.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Hospital visits, financial support, providing holiday breaks and rewarding these heroes with honorary membership of the gardai is at the core of what Little Blue Heroes do.
