BREAKING: Man (70s) killed in tractor tragedy outside New Ross

The remains of a man who was killed in a road tragedy outside New Ross, near the Kilkenny border, have been removed to University Hospital Waterford (UHW) for a post mortem examination.

The victim, who was in his 70s, died after the tractor he was driving overturned at Ballinabanogue, New Ross in county Wexford at around 10.15am this morning.

Gardaí this evening appealed for any witnesses to the single-vehicle collision to come forward.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Ballinabanogue / Ballywilliam area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact New Ross Garda Station on 051 426 030, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
