Burglars ransack Kilkenny home and flee with cash and tools just days before Christmas
Burglars ransacked a house in Kilkenny and made off with a small amount of cash and power tools.
The break-in occurred at a property at Garringreen in Johnswell on Tuesday evening.
A local Garda source confirmed the thieves managed to prize open a back window of the property to gain entry.
Once inside, they proceeded to ransack several before escaping with a drill and a small amount of money.
Gardai have appealed to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the Johnswell area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
