Cat’s got the cream: Famous Kilkenny company beats some of world’s top brands

KILKENNY’S Avonmore has taken the fizz out of some of the world’s best known drinks companies.
Avonmore, the dairy arm of locally-based multinational Glanbia, has come fourth on the list of most recognisable food and drinks brands in Ireland, with the Kilkenny GAA sponsor finishing higher than Pepsi, Lucozade, 7-Up and Red Bull.
The report was published by Checkout magazine and compiled by the market insights company, Nielsen. It placed Avonmore just below drinks giant Coca-Cola, Cadburys and Dublin breadmaker Brennans. Coca-Cola retained its position at the top of the list for the 14th year in a row.
