Cocaine and stash of cash seized in crackdown on drug dealers in Kilkenny city
More than €12,000 of cocaine and a “significant” amount of cash was seized during a Garda raid in Kilkenny city.
The cocaine and cash were found during an operation targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the city.
A local Garda spokesperson said: “An operation by Kilkenny Drugs Unit, investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the city, resulted in over €12,000 worth of cocaine and a significant amount of cash being seized today.”
Gardai confirmed a suspect is due to appear in court in connection with the seizure.
Local gardai have asked anyone who is suspicious of drug dealing in their community to call their dedicated drugs hotline on 087 790 4885.
