Council gives green light to new housing developments in Kilkenny city

Kilkenny County Council has given the green light for two new developments of large homes on the outskirts of the city.

The small estates will consist of a combined 20 family homes.

The first development of four and five bed houses will be built by Kilsion Ltd at Middleknock on the Sion Road, just off the Ring Road. These two-storey detached houses will range in size from just over 2,000 square feet to just under 3,000 square feet.

Eight more homes will be bult at the second development at Friarsinch on the Bleach Road. The developer, Roger Beeken, will build four four-bed and four three-bed semi-detached homes.

The homes will have a unique feel about them as they are single-story houses to the front and three storey houses at the rear.
