County Kilkenny premises to be transformed into new apartments
A development originally built to house commercial units is to be converted into 23 new apartments.
Developers K&B Mulvaney Ltd have been granted planning permission by Kilkenny County Council for their ambitious plans to totally convert a vacant section of the Ross Abbey Neighbourhood Centre, in Rathculliheen, Ferrybank.
The developer’s request for a “change of use” was approved by the council and now the former business premises will make way for much-needed residential units.
The developer will no transform the existing first-floor area to allow for the construction of 15 new apartments.
The permission also allows the developer construct a new rooftop penthouse containing eight further apartments, along with “elevational modifications, and all associated site works.”
