Driver high on drugs with no license or insurance overtakes Garda car on busy Kilkenny road
A drug driver was caught red handed after he overtook gardai on patrol on Kilkenny’s Ring Road.
The incident occured over the weekend, local gardai confirmed.
Gardai pursued the suspect after he overtook the squad car and ordered him to pull over.
The officers then discovered he had no driving license or insurance. And he then tested positive for cannabis and cocaine when members of the local Road Policing Unit arrived at the scene.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “He was arrested and his car seized. Court appearance to follow.”
