Drugs and cash seized during Garda raid on house in Kilkenny city

A man is to appear in court following the discovery of cash and drugs during a planned search of a Kilkenny house.

Uniformed and plain clothes officers from Kilkenny Garda station carried out the search of a house in the city centre on Monday evening.

An amount of cannabis, with a value of €620 was discovered at the property.

Gardai also recovered €2,200 in cash they suspect to be the proceeds of drugs sales.

The man was brought to Kilkenny garda station and charged. He is due to appear in court in the coming weeks.
