A ticket sold on Tuesday, November 9 at the Circle K on the Castlecomer Road matched 5 numbers in the following night’s draw.

But the poor punter will not take home any of the €28,908 prize, which remained uncollected past the 90-day deadline which expired this week.

A National Lottery spokesperson said it was rare for someone not to come forward for such a big win , saying just 2% of prizes across the country go unclaimed.
