CRIME SPREE: Four homes in Kilkenny village hit by burglars on same day
Gardai are hunting for burglars who targeted four separate homes in the same Kilkenny village last week
The break-ins occurred in Ballyfoyle last Wednesday, November 6. The first incident occurred at a house in Webbsboro between 9.15am and 6.00pm. The burglars got in through the back door. They ransacked the house, but nothing was taken.
Gardaí then received a report of a burglary at a house in Leapstown between 7.20am and 9.45am. A side window of the house was prised open and the burglars gained entry.
The burglars ran off with numerous items, including a pair of black Asics ladies runners and a gold ring.
A third burglary occurred in Corbetstown between 7.30am on Wednesday and 5.30pm on Friday, November 8. In this incident, the burglars gained entry to the house via an upstairs bedroom window, which they forced open. Two gold chains were stolen.
The fourth burglary took place at a house on Ballyfolyle Road just after 6pm. A rear bedroom window was forced open but it triggered the alarm and the burglars fled without gaining entry.
Gardaí have appealed to eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000 or Castlecomer Garda Station on 056 444 0650.
