Gardai hunt gang who siphoned diesel from trucks on building site in Kilkenny city
KILKENNY gardai are hunting a criminal gang who broke into a building site in the city and siphoned hundreds of euros worth of diesel from trucks parked there overnight.
The incident occurred at a construction site in the Kilmanagh Road area of Kilkenny city overnight between last Wednesday, March 27 and the following morning.
A Garda source told KilkennyNow.ie around €400 worth of petrol was removed from large “agricultural and construction” vehicles parked on site.
The source said the thieves would have required a large vehicle to carry out the operation.
Gardai have urged anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the Kilmanagh Road area around the time of the break-in and theft to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
