Green light for vital project to help people living with complex needs in Kilkenny city

A housing group that helps people living with complex needs have been given approval to extend one of its facilities in Kilkenny city.

Kilkenny County Council has approved SOS Kilkenny Housing Association CLG plans to add a two-bedroom extension to their facilty at Milton Lodge, Johnswell Road, in Kilkenny.

The new 81 mt sq single storey extension to the side of the existing building will provide the grouo with an additional two bedrooms for their services.

A new bathroom, kitchenette, dining area and living area will also be created under the plans.

To complete the extension, minor internal alterations will have to be made to the existing community dwelling which already consists of four bedrooms for their clients and one staff bedroom.

SOS Housing Association provides independent living and respite facilities for people with complex needs supported by nursing staff in each centre.
