Heartless burglars ransacked Kilkenny home just weeks before Christmas

Burglars broke into a property in county Kilkenny and ransacked the entire house before fleeing the scene.

However, the thieves’ efforts were in vain as gardai confirmed nothing was taken in the attempted burglary.

The break-in occurred in hhe Kilahy area of Mullinavat sometime between 5pm on Thursday and midday on Saturday.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “The back door was forced open and all rooms were ransacked. Nothing was taken. Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area contact gardaí in Mooncoin.”
