Gardai seize tractor and trailer with huge holes in tyres
A tractor and dumper trailer were seized after it was spotted driving with gaping holes in its tyres on a county Kilkenny road.
The Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit were on a routine patrol on the Tullaroan Road on Tuesday evening when they came across the tractor.
They stopped the driver to inspect the dumper trailer being towed by a tractor and on further inspection found the inner tube was largely exposed as the tyre’s rubber had long since worn away.
On checking the tractor’s registration, gardai discovered the vehicle had not been taxed since 2017.
Gardai seized the tractor and the trailer. A local Garda confirmed prosecutions will follow.
