‘I’m falling in love with John Nolan!’ Kilkenny dancer is a big hit with new partner on RTÉ show
WATCH out Mairéad – another woman is falling for your dance partner!
Kilkenny’s John Nolan appears to have made quite an impression on his temporary dance partner, actor Clelia Murphy, as they came together for ‘Switch Up’ week on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars.
John was without his regular partner, presenter Mairéad Ronan, who was paired up with Kai Widdrington.
The Kilkenny dancer and Clelia clearly hit it off as they performed an energetic quickstep to the Kylie Minogue hit, ‘Stop Me From Falling’, which saw them awarded a total of 24 points from the judges.
Clelia said afterwards: “I’m falling in love with John Nolan!”
And John’s regular partner Mairéad fared even better as her sultry salsa with Kai went down very well with the judges, scoring 26 points.
Mairéad, who topped the leader board last week, said: “When I learned what I was going to do all I could think of is I’m mortified – I’m so happy I did it.”
Last night’s show began with a fun group dance with the celebrity and pro-dancers to ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ by Rainbow, as viewers got to see them perform with their switch up partners for the first time.
There were no eliminations this week and celebrities will now return to their original pro-dance partners as they prepare for the start of the dreaded dance offs – which will begin on next week’s show.
