It’s a rail deal: chance for Kilkenny youths to travel across Europe for free

YOUNG people in Kilkenny are being offered the chance to travel free throughout Europe.

They are being invited to apply for the DiscoverEU pass which can be used for up to 30 days of rail travel from August to October next year.

The project gives 18-year-olds a chance to travel across Europe and see for themselves what it means to be a citizen of the European Union.

“It’s a fantastic initiative that has become very popular among Irish young people since its conception last year, so I encourage all Irish 18-year-olds to submit their application as soon as possible,” said MEP Seán Kelly
