Kilkenny College gets green light for revamp
Kilkenny College has been given the go ahead to redevelop part of its campus.
Kilkenny County Council has given the college on the Castlecomer Road has been given permission to proceed with plans to demolish two prefab classrooms and undertake the contruction of a single-story dressing room buliding.
The new structure will include roof-mounted photovoltaic panels and “all associated ancillary
accommodation, connection to existing watermains, public foul and private stormwater treatment”.
The work will take place within the grounds of Newtown House, which is a protected structure.
