Male arrested in connection with vandalism at Thomastown GAA grounds
GARDAI are closing in on the vandals who destroyed the Thomastown GAA Club pitch over the weekend.
Gardai confirmed one male in his late teens was arrested in connection with the incident in the city yesterday evening. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Thomastown Garda Station.
Local Garda sources told KilkennyNow.ie they are following “a definite line of inquiry” in their investigations.
Gardai have since located the jeep used to tear up the pitch and a bank card believed to belong to one of the group responsible for the vandalism was also found at the scene.
