Kilkenny hotel plans new five-star welcome for guests

One of Kilkenny’s most exclusive hotels has unveiled new plans to provide an even more inviting welcome to guests.

The five-star Mount Juliet Estate outside Thomastown has applied to Kilkenny County Council to permission to build a new “arrival chalet” at the entrance of it’s Hunter’s Yard accommodation.

In its application, Mount Juliet said: “The proposed development will consist of the erection of an arrival chalet located at the set-down area of Hunter’s Yard in order to allow guests drop off their bags prior to check-in and / or request valet parking.”

Mount Juliet said no works are proposed to any of the protected structures on the estate as part of the development.

The local authority will decide on the development by the end of next month.
