Kilkenny motorists face delays as Council announces road closures across county

KILKENNY motorists have been warned to expect delays as a number of temporary road closures are put in place across the county this week.

Poyntz Lane in Inistioge will be closed to traffic from 7am to 7pm today. Kilkenny County Council said “local diversions” will be put in place.

Tomorrow the L6726 and L82886 roads in Bramblestown and Ballynunnery will be shut off to traffic during the same 12-hour period.

On Thursday, roads in the Legan, Newmarket, Tinaslatty, The Rower and Cloghscregg, Thomastown areas (road numbers L8202, L4211, L82932, R703) will also be closed between 7am and 7pm.

Meanwhile, the R703 at Cloghscregg, Thomastown will also be closed to traffic during the same period on Friday. Again, local diversions will be in place.

Kilkenny County Council said it apologises “for any inconvenience caused”.
