Kilkenny teen performs in Madrid ahead of Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Kilkenny teenager Enya Cox Dempsey took to the stage in Madrid in style yesterday as she performed her first rehearsal ahead of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this weekend.
On Saturday, the talented Castlecomer will perform her son ‘Le Chéile’ entirely as Gaeilge as one of the 17 entries in this year’s competition.

Enya lives with her mother Róisín and the family dog Pip in Castlecomer, and her uncle Paddy, grandad Paddy Sr and granny Helen live next door.
The singer gave a memorable rendition of Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’ on last year’s Late Late Toy Show and has performed in local pantomimes and shows with her Music Generation club all her life. She said her goal is to win big for Ireland; become a pop star; and make her home town proud.
