Kilkenny woman (38) caught with heroin for sale after Garda raided house

A Kilkenny woman was caught in possession of heroin after local gardai raided a house is due to appear in court next week.

Members of the Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit targeted a house in Castlecomer as part of a planned operation last Friday evening.

A 38-year-old woman who was in the house at the time of the search was found to be in possession of more than €700 worth of heroin.

She was arrested and takenj to Castlecomer Garda station where she was charged with having heroin for sale and supply.

She is due to appear at a sitting of Kilkenny District Court early next week.
